Writing Your Feelings Helps

There are SO many studies that show writing what you’re feeling can reduce stress, anxiety, & help alleviate depression. This is a practice you do for yourself, so it’s not required that you’re a good writer or even a good speller. Anyone can do it and reap the benefits.

All you need is a quiet place to sit and a few minutes to get out on paper whatever may be rattling around your brain or sitting heavily in your heart.

Here is a simple writing prompt to get you jump-started:

Write a letter to the person, idea, or thing you miss. If you feel ready, you can write their response back to you.

Give it a try and comment how it made you feel 👇

If you love this, check out The Grief Retreat. Expressive writing is going to be a key offering at an incredible 3 night/4 day retreat in Blowing Rock, NC April 13th-16th, 2023.

  1. I’m pretty sure I would have died last year if I hadn’t started writing and I know that I would have died 2 months ago for sure if I hadn’t found this site and started writing. Now I’m no good at it I’m not a poet I’m not a writer I’m just a mama in a lot of pain both emotional and physically but riding I believe has saved my life so far thank you for writing this piece
