Say Their Names. Tell Their Stories

Saying the names and telling the stories of the people in your life who’ve died is a way you honor the love that remains in your heart for them. So often, we are made to feel uncomfortable in our desire to tell their stories, but speaking of your loved ones is an important part of processing grief, no matter how long it’s been.

If you feel comfortable invite your family to share a favorite story of your loved one together. Or, if you want to try this privately, write a memory that makes you smile on piece of paper. Sometimes just the act of remembering is enough.
